Trouble Launching Tumblr Android?
If you can’t launch tumblr Android except through the marketplace (I’ve seen a few reports of this) just uninstall the app and reinstall it from the market and the issue should go away! If that doesn’t do the trick, please feel free to contact support@tumblr.com and we’ll happily sort you out. ..thanks to mylifeissimsfor testing it out.

Quick Fix!
We’d heard there were a few of you experiencing unexpected closures on startup, I’ve pushed an update (which should show in the marketplace in the next few hours) to adress the issue.  If it persists, please contact support@tumblr.com and we’ll do our best to sort you out. Thanks for your patience!

Or is every WSJ headline about startups a different rendition of “Damn kids these days…get off my lawn!” Maybe that’s just Mossburg talking? How’s your revenue doing WSJ? ;-)

Why apps like Protestr are important →
Both rebels and government soldiers have used their phones to take pictures and videos of the conflict, a digital record of fighting from both sides. With the rebels now in Tripoli, the capital, and Gaddafi’s whereabouts unknown, those gigabytes of potential evidence may play a role in any war crimes cases.

My PhotoHackDay Project: protestr
Images define conflict.  They are the enduring message the linger after a clash between citizens and those who govern them.  Government, sadly, have the power to detain, confiscate, and destroy both those who dissent and those who would document the excesses of authority. Our project is simple.  We help those involved in civil unrest, dissent, or looting, broadcast the images that define their...

Google and Android
Sometimes I wonder about Google.  Recently they announced ‘Google Catalogs’, a way to shop for stuff on a tablet (rather than receiving a bunch of glossy things in the mail). The kicker is… it’s exclusively for the iPad at launch. If even Google isn’t taking their own tablet OS seriously.  What are those of us who are developing for it supposed to think?
